ABOUT WHOLE BEING CO

Dietetic care that sees the whole person.

We believe nutrition care should feel like something you’re part of, not something that happens to you. Our dietitians take the time to understand your health, experiences, relationship with food and what matters to you, because there’s no one-size-fits-all way to eat, live or care for your health.

WHY THE WHOLEBEING CO EXISTS

Because nutrition never exists in isolation.

The Wholebeing Co was created from a belief that nutrition care can and should look at more than just what someone eats.

Food is connected to so much of our lives — our health, relationships, culture, experiences, access, identity and how we feel about our bodies. We wanted to create a practice that makes space for the bigger picture, rather than reducing people to numbers, rules or meal plans.

Our approach is collaborative, not prescriptive. We take the time to understand what has shaped your relationship with food and health, provide evidence-based information without unnecessary rules or restriction, and work alongside you to find approaches that make sense for your life. You are more than a diagnosis, a set of symptoms or a number on a scale. Your experiences, circumstances, values and wellbeing matter too.

For us, good dietetic care means listening without judgement, bringing our expertise to the table, and recognising the expertise you already have in yourself — so you can feel informed, respected and in control of your own care.

WORK WITH US

Nutrition is one part of a much bigger picture.

How we eat doesn’t happen in isolation. Our physical and mental health, medical history, culture, relationships, routines, sensory needs, access to food, lived experiences and relationship with food and our bodies can all shape what nutrition looks like.

That’s why our care considers the whole person—not just what’s on your plate.

Individualised + collaborative

Good nutrition care looks different for everyone. We take the time to understand you—your health, experiences, relationship with food, everyday life and what you want from your care.

Weight-inclusive + non-diet

Your body size doesn’t determine the quality of care you deserve. We focus on supporting nutrition, health and wellbeing without making weight loss or changing your body the goal.

Trauma-informed

We recognise that past experiences can shape how safe and comfortable nutrition care feels. We approach conversations with sensitivity, choice and respect for your boundaries.

Neurodiversity affirming

Different brains mean different experiences of eating and routines, so we work with your strengths, needs and capacity to find strategies that work for you.

Evidence-based + curious

Our care is grounded in current evidence and clinical practice, while recognising that evidence needs context. We stay curious about what’s happening for you, help you make sense of nutrition information and translate it into practical strategies that fit your life.

Inclusive + respectful

We celebrate the extraordinary diversity of people’s bodies, abilities, genders, sexualities, relationships and lived experiences. We are LGBTIQA+ inclusive, neurodiversity affirming, disability inclusive and sex work positive.

What we do differently.

We don’t expect you to arrive knowing exactly what you need. Part of our job is helping you make sense of what’s going on and working out together where nutrition support might be useful.

We don’t believe dietetic care should be something that happens to you. We’ll explain our thinking, listen to what feels realistic and useful, and make decisions about your care together. Questions, preferences and changing your mind are always welcome.

You’re part of the conversation

There’s no perfect way to eat, and we won’t hand you a generic set of rules and expect you to fit your life around them. Recommendations are shaped around your health needs, relationship with food, preferences, capacity, sensory needs, circumstances and everyday life.

No one-size-fits-all plans

Nutrition concerns rarely sit neatly in one box. Eating disorders can overlap with gut symptoms, pelvic pain can affect eating, and neurodivergence or chronic health conditions can shape how someone shops, cooks and experiences food. We look at how these pieces interact rather than treating them in isolation.

We’re comfortable with complexity

Nutrition is often just one part of your healthcare. Where helpful, and with your consent, we can work alongside your GP, psychologist, psychiatrist, gastroenterologist, gynaecologist, pelvic health physiotherapist and other health professionals to support more connected care.

We work as part of the bigger picture

EXPLORE OUR SERVICES

People come to us for all kinds of reasons. You might be navigating an eating disorder, trying to understand ongoing gut symptoms, managing a health condition, looking for support through hormonal or pelvic health concerns, or wanting nutrition to feel easy and intuitive.

You don’t need to fit neatly into one category. Our dietitians work across a range of areas and can help you understand what kind of support might be right for you.

WHO WE SUPPORT

Support for wherever you’re at with food, nutrition and health.

OUR VALUES

What’s at the heart of our work

Food and health can be complicated. We approach conversations with curiosity, compassion and openness rather than assumptions about what someone “should” be doing. There’s no perfect eating here, and no gold stars for getting nutrition “right”.

Curiosity over judgement

Your body and your health belong to you. Our role is to share our expertise, help you understand your options and support you to make informed decisions that feel right for you—not make those decisions on your behalf.

Autonomy and choice

We take evidence-based practice seriously, but nutrition science doesn’t exist separately from real life. We combine current evidence and clinical expertise with compassion, context and lived experience to provide care that is both clinically thoughtful and genuinely useful.

Evidence, with humanity

There is no “right” kind of body, brain, identity, ability or way of living that makes someone more deserving of care. We want everyone who comes through our doors—physical or virtual—to feel respected, welcomed and valued.

Health without a hierarchy

Everyone deserves healthcare where they feel respected and able to be themselves. We welcome and celebrate diversity across bodies, abilities, brains, genders, sexualities, relationships, cultures and lived experience

inclusivity + belonging
